Preface

I didn’t set out to write a book about finding a man on social media. In fact, like many people, I once believed that true love had to happen the old-fashioned way through chance meetings, mutual friends, or serendipitous moments. But the world changed, and so did the way we connect. Social media, once a space for updates and selfies, gradually became a landscape of longing a modern- day marketplace of hearts searching for something real.

I watched as women strong, intelligent, beautiful women poured themselves into DMs, waited anxiously for replies, ignored red flags, and gave their energy to men who had no intention of loving them well. I watched as many of them, perhaps like you, walked away from the screen feeling smaller, confused, or ashamed, wondering if maybe they were the problem. This book was born from that ache.

From witnessing what happens when hope meets disappointment again and again, and yet, somehow, love is still longed for. It was written for the woman who wants to be wise in her search, who wants to use social media as a tool not a trap. It was written for the woman who doesn’t want to settle, and doesn’t want to be fooled. For the one who wants to find a man, yes but more importantly, wants to keep her soul intact while doing so.
